As you may have seen on social media, a black Land Rover was stolen from private land in Outhill on Thursday 5th of February last week.
The suspect was involved in a collision outside the Jet Garage in Mappleborough Green and failed to stop to give details to the other driver (which is another offence). They then drove through Studley to D C Edginton and Sons Garage. After nearly reversing into a red car on the forecourt, the driver topped up on fuel and made off without making payment. As they left, they nearly caused another collision on the junction beside the Little Lark Pub.
The good news - the car was recovered the very next day. We also have a name for our suspect driver who we plan to interview.
I would ask that anyone who witnessed any poor driving by this car get in touch if they are willing to make a formal account. Even better, if you have any dash camera footage to send us! The crime reference number is 23/5632/26.
As always, you can reach us by using the Warwickshire Police Website, by emailing the local team at alcester.snt@warwickshire.police.uk or of course you can message us directly on Warwickshire Connected.
Thank you for your help in keeping your roads safe.
